Information about Cosplay4Charity

Welcome!

Cosplay4Charity intends to brighten the lives of the sick or disabled, by providing animation in costumes of well-known characters from movies, tv-series, comics or games.

The main goal of Cosplay4Charity (C4C) is to unite cosplayers willing to use their hobby for charity.

The Belgian group was founded in 2013 and had its first event on October 6th of that year. It was a very succesful start, with 21 people in costume entertaining sick children on the "Nationale Kinderkankerdag" in Mechelen; a family day for parents and their children with cancer. His Highness Prince Laurent of Belgium made a guest appearance at the event and directed special attention to the children, but also the C4C-members. He specifically requested every cosplayer to be present for a group picture with him, resulting into well-spread media of the newly born Cosplay4Charity. Over the course of its first months, Cosplay4Charity gradually grew doing small events, until in 2015 we made a partnership with Make-A-Wish Belgium-Vlaanderen.

Costumes fall within the range of popular media such as movies, tv-series, comics or games. The Costumes-section contains examples of available characters. These provide a good idea of the quantity and quality we can deliver.

Events may range from actual charities and fundraisers, over conventions and other appearances. Refer to theEvents-section for our past portfolio.

If you are organising an event and would like to have the presence of Cosplay4Charity, please refer to the Info-section for our notes about event requests first, then drop us a message via e-mail or our Facebook-page.

If you want to help out directly in some way, contact us and tell us what you can or would like to do. There are some conditions for joining, so we like to meet new applicants live first. The full conditions are outlined among our notes, so please read those first.
